Donate through B&O

Per the Washington State Department of Archaeology & Historic Preservation, the Main Street tax credit incentive program provides a Business & Occupation (B&O) or Public Utility tax (PUT) credit for private contributions given to eligible downtown organizations.  Once your business’ s donation request is approved by the Department of Revenue, you are eligible for a tax credit worth 75% of the contribution to your downtown revitalization organization. What other program essentially lets you self-direct your business taxes? In addition, because LMSA is a 501c3, you may be eligible for a federal income tax deduction for your charitable contribution.

Did you know that you can donate to LMSA and receive 75% of your donation back as a tax credit on your B&O taxes next year? Your donation will stay right here in Langley, supporting all the outstanding projects LMSA manages—from edible gardens to historic preservation, as well as events each year.

We encourage you to take advantage of the program by pledging your donation by March 31st each year to ensure funds are available. Pledges can begin the second Monday of the new year. Your contribution should be received by Nov 1. If you are interested in learning more about this amazing program, don’t delay!
